A luxurious and fast dinner combining succulent seared shrimp and thin angel hair pasta in a rich, velvety tomato cream sauce.

  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook angel hair pasta until slightly under al dente.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink; remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same pan for 30 seconds.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes to reduce.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the sauce until well coated.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
