  • 80/20 Ground Beef – 1 lb
  • Olive Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Fresh Oregano – 1 tbsp, chopped
  • Feta Cheese – 1/2 cup, crumbled
  • Red Onion – 1/4 cup, finely diced
  • Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Tzatziki Sauce – 1 cup
  • Pita Bread or Whole‑grain Buns – 4
  • Lettuce Leaves – 4
  • Tomato – 1 medium, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet to 375°F (medium‑high).
  2. Combine beef, oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into four patties, creating a shallow indentation in the center of each.
  4. Fold crumbled feta into each patty, then seal around the edges.
  5. Cook for 4–5 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Serve the patty on toasted pita, topped with lettuce, tomato, a spoonful of tzatziki, and a squeeze of lemon.
