  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar over medium heat. Stir until dissolved and bring to a gentle simmer. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract and a pinch of salt; let cool slightly.
  3. Add 2 cups fresh cranberries to a mixing bowl and pour cooled syrup over them. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, pour ½ cup granulated sugar. Using a slotted spoon, lift each cranberry from the syrup and coat in sugar.
