  • 1 packet (2¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (12g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (6g)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (50g)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (30g)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and fold in minced garlic and grated Parmesan.
  6. Shape into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place on a lined baking sheet. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
