  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites (room temperature)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 4 drops green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Prepare your baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar. In another bowl, whip egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the dry mixture.
  3. Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip and pipe small circles onto the prepared baking sheets.
  4. Allow macarons to rest at room temperature for 30-45 minutes until they form a skin.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until they lift off easily from the parchment paper.
  6. While cooling, beat the cream cheese until smooth and mix in herbs and salt. Pipe filling onto half of the macaron shells and sandwich them together.
