  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar and garlic powder.
  5. Mix in buttermilk until a soft dough forms.
