Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook fettuccine until al dente.
  2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sear shrimp for 2 minutes per side, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Whisk in grated Parmesan cheese one handful at a time until smooth and glossy.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta and seared shrimp into the sauce until well coated.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
