  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine black beans, cocoa powder, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and baking powder. Blend until smooth.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and fold in half of the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
