Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; fold in chocolate chips gently.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are slightly underbaked.
  7. For the dip, heat heavy cream with powdered sugar in a small saucepan over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat.
  8. Serve cookies warm alongside the dip.
