Indulge in the delectable goodness of Simple Date Snickers Bars, a healthier take on your favorite treat. These luscious bars combine sweet Medjool dates, creamy nut butter, crunchy nuts, and rich dark chocolate for a delightful snack that satisfies your cravings without the guilt. Perfect for any occasion, these bars offer a delicious way to enjoy wholesome ingredients while treating yourself!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Medjool dates (about 1012 dates)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds or peanuts)
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (almond or peanut)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
  2. In a food processor, pulse Medjool dates into a sticky paste. If needed, soak them in warm water before blending.
  3. Add chopped nuts to the processor and pulse until finely chopped but not fully ground.
  4. Spoon in nut butter and blend until well combined; the mixture should be thick yet pliable.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it down evenly using your hands or a spatula.
  6. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring between sessions until smooth.
  7. Spread melted chocolate over the pressed mixture, sprinkle with sea salt, and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
